wedding
Amersham Cricket Club
Chiltern Hills
We had to keep all the styling and colours for Sally Anne & John’s traveller wedding at Amersham Cricket Club a secret as Sally Anne wanted a grand reveal to her 250 sit down guests...and that's just what she got, it was just stunning! No expense was spared by Mum, Ruby & Dad, Billy for their daughter's big day.
Sally Anne wanted big florals, something that hadn’t been seen at any another wedding her and her family had attended previously, so we made these huge domes of hydrangeas, roses, peonies and dahlias that stood on 1 meter tall gold stands, adorning half of the 20 tables.
We styled the marquee with rose gold sequin linen, blush pink and white chivari chair sashes and gold diamante clasps that sat on alternate tables to add another twist to the design, and it came together beautifully.
The top table was a carpet of flowers that ran the whole length of the table with candles placed behind it to add a romantic feel for the evening celebration.
The 7 tiered cake sat on a bed of flowers which took centre stage when the guest entered the huge marquee.
We dressed the table plan and post box too in keeping with the luxe feel we created throughout.
The other tables held big chalices of the same flowers surrounded by gold tea lights at varying heights to add interest for the guests...it looked breath taking :)
Ruby contacted me on Sunday morning to say thank you and then the social media frenzy started! All I saw was the wedding, everyone was liking, sharing and commenting on the posts about the flowers, it was insane!
I was overcome with emotion on the Monday after the wedding when both Ruby and Billy came to the shop to thank me personally for providing and Billy said, “the best flowers I have ever seen! I’ve never been to a wedding that looked like that! Thank you Amie.”
I am very honoured to have been part of this very special day thank you for having trust in us.
