Aynhoe Park
Oxfordshire
I first met Keri when she and her best friend came for a wedding consultation last October, driving all the way from Barnsley to come and chat flowers for her and Martin’s upcoming wedding at my fav venue Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire. Keri and I hit it off immediately and her excitement for the wedding was so evident from the initial meeting, she wanted something beautiful, crisp and over the top for her outside ceremony in the recently licensed gardens at Aynhoe. We created a classic style that looked so opulent and fitting for the couple and there were flowers everywhere...a florist's dream!
Set to be a day of fun and laughter in the most grand of settings, the ceremony was like a dream, with huge statement urns standing on white cages at the entrance of the aisle, a white carpet laid the way for Keri to walk up with her proud Dad.
Rosetone provided the gorgeous white Louis chairs for the guests to sit on. And that flower arch...just heavenly!!!
We dressed the tree which stands at the foot of the aisle with the most gorgeous gardens of white blooms cascading to the floor which proved as a fabulous photo backdrop for guests, especially with the Aynhoe disco ball!!!
Inside the house, loose floral displays and masses of floating candles adorned the imposing fireplace. It looked magnificent :)
The reception table was dressed with lots of cylinder vases filled with flowers, floating candles, submerged flowers heads and branches to give a taste of what guests could expect to see throughout the rest of the house.
The Staircase is sublime to dress - and this time we draped handsome Hercules with a floral garland too -wrapping the ginormous statue from head to toe in foliage.
Keri’s beautiful bouquet of white peonies, roses, sweet peas, stocks, nigella, astilbe, and foliage matched the flowers we dressed the house with perfectly and her large bouquet worked well with the delicate details of Keri’s Berta wedding gown which she purchased from the great girls at
The Wedding Club.
The wedding breakfast was fit for a King and his Queen! Urns of flowers on white iron cages sat on half of the tables surrounded by masses of pillar candles and tea lights, whilst the other tables held a lower design holding more candles on top of the flowers. The sweetheart table we dressed with a cascading garland that swept to the floor surrounded by yet more candles that shone beautifully against the gold satin table cloths.
Our friends from
White House Event Crockery provided the beautiful gold rimmed glasses (applty named Amy...although spelt wrong...should change that really Mr White House!!), the charger plates and cutlery, all of which finished the tables off beautifully.
I took Keri & Martin in to show them the room and Keri cried. I have never in all my years of business been hugged so tight by a bride in her wedding gown! You were a dream couple that we had the greatest of pleasure working with to create something so utterly beautiful for your special day. May I wish you both many years of happiness together and remind Martin what a lucky man he is!! LOL!
Team Bone you are the best in the business and I couldn’t do what I do without you all.
Big Love,
A x
